We are looking to recruit a Lettings Officer/Administration Assistant. The paid position is for 8 hours a week split in the ratio of 6 lettings : 2 admin. We are looking initially for someone who has an understanding of office technology and working methods; the workings of the Methodist Church and lives within a 10 minute drive of the church. Please note the change in venue for the service for Kate Kwafo-Akoto’s accreditation as a Local Preacher will take place at 6.30pm on Sunday 2ndMarch at Pinner Methodist Church, Love Lane.

Daffodil Day on Monday 3rd March 2014 will commence with community singing from 1.40pm in the Great Hall, Methodist Central Hall, Westminster followed by the main programme from 2pm to 3.45pm. Our theme this year is “West End Dreams”.  Please invite your family, friends and loved ones and let as many people as possible know about the event. The Café will be open for those requiring a hot meal. To celebrate the day each member of your group is invited to wear a daffodil.  Alternatively, if you prefer, you can buy a Marie Curie daffodil at the entrance and thus support a very worthy cause.

Linda Matthews, from the Alzheimer’s Association, will be giving a talk on Monday 3rd March at 7.30pm at Eastcote Methodist Church. Although the talk was primarily for Pastoral Visitors, it is open to anyone who would like to learn more. Please join us.

Lent begins on Wednesday March 5th (don’t forget your pancakes on Tuesday 4th). ‘Count Your Blessings’ literature will be available this Sunday and next. If you are willing to follow the ‘Blessings’ programme during Lent for Christian Aid, please put your pennies in a jar or give a donation to Christian Aid (via Shirley please) at Easter when the programme ends. Jars to be brought on Easter Sunday. Please clearly label to distinguish from your Water Jars. Thanks to all who took part last year. It was a great support for Christian Aid. Alternatively the Count Your Blessings app is available for Android and iOS

This year’s 6 week Lent Course starts 3rd March at Ruislip Manor (Mondays at 8pm), and at Northwood on 5th March (Wednesdays at 19.45pm) & 6th March (Thursdays at 14.00pm).

World Women’s Day of Prayer- Streams in the Desert – Friday March 7th – Coffee from 10.30am in the vestibule, Service at 11 and a Mezze-style lunch in the Main Hall afterwards.

Who killed the Headmaster? You are invited to a social evening of Murder Mystery entertainment and delicious food in the Main Hall on 22nd March 6.45 for 7pm start. Tickets £15 (students £10) from Karen Lane 01895 674514 or after the service. Please take fliers from the vestibule table to give to your friends. Donations for the raffle in aid of The Stroke Association will be gratefully received.
