News of the Church Family

There are many known to us who need our prayers for strength and encouragement, even though they may not be named in this newsletter. Let us continue to pray daily for each and every one.

Notices

Please note there will be no newsletter in August. The last newsletter will be on 26th July. Normal service resumes in September.

* Flower Arrangements – The flowers in church today are celebrating the ruby wedding anniversary of Daphne and Ron Bird.

* Travel bags needed – The chaplaincy at Harmondsworth Detention Centre needs small and medium sized travel bags (holdalls, backpacks, suitcases etc) in good condition to give detainees leaving the centre (mostly for removals) so they do not need to carry their belongings in clear plastic bags as this lacks dignity. T-shirts and socks also welcomed. Please bring your donations to church on 26th July and Roger will take them to Hillingdon.

11th/July: It’s here at last – the cleaning /maintenance working party day! Such occasions are both invaluable and good fun. There will be tasks for all categories of skill and none and it is hoped that as many as possible will come along to do whatever is within their abilities. Even if you are very limited there is plenty of scope for supporting the others and keeping them refreshed. -the gender and age of helpers is not important! A sign up sheet is in the Oasis, please volunteer to help. If you would like more information please speak to Birgit (or email: birgitschoeniger@hotmail.com, call: 07736 235 322 )
