There are many known to us who need our prayers for strength and encouragement, even though they may not be named in this newsletter. Let us continue to pray daily for each and every one.

Notices

* We are listed as an event on the silversunday.org.uk website. You also may be interested in hearing Joanna Lumley speak about Silver Sunday on Classic FM using the link http://sirsimonmiltonfoundation.us9.list-manage2.com/track/click?u=7ec2b56da8c4167ef3b5d8fa0&id=aa9b495174&e=68db6fecfb

In the interview, Joanna discusses the UK’s attitudes to older people as well as the initiative.

* If you would like your church group’s meeting information to be listed in Dates For Your Diary (DFYD) please ensure it is sent to Peggy by the beginning of the last week of the month to give her sufficient time to prepare an up to date issue for the following month. More detailed information can then be sent to me (Rebecca) for the newsletter. Any dates that arise from meetings must be sent on to Peggy if they are to be included in DFYD – please decide before the conclusion of any meetings who will do this. Thank you.

* Plea for help from Little Acorns – please see Daphne for more information

* ‘IN LOVING MEMORY’ is a Service of Remembrance held on Sunday 2nd November at 4.00pm. Everyone is welcome to share in our annual Service for the Bereaved. Prayers, readings and meditation to give thanks for the lives of those who have died recently or long ago, to bring comfort to the bereaved, and to offer to all the reassurance of eternal life. Individuals may be remembered by name during the service, and a candle lit as a memorial sign. Please invite friends and neighbours and come yourself either to remember someone or to support those for whom this is a deeply special occasion.

Next Sunday 12th October 2014 10:30am Morning Worship led by Mrs Cathy Smith.
